Asshield Insurance (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This notice describes how information collected through asshield.com, related quote forms, and the Asshield Insurance app in ChatGPT and Codex may be used.
Information we collect
When you submit a quote, contact, or careers/job application form, we may collect your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, coverage interests, message or cover-note content, licensing details, resume/CV files you upload, and related application answers. If you call or text us, we may collect information needed to quote or service a policy. We may also store a simple preference in your browser (see Browser storage below).
How we use it
We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, place coverage with insurance carriers, service policies, send related follow-up by call or text when you have provided a number, and improve our website. We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We may share information with insurance carriers, managing general agents, and service providers as needed to quote or bind coverage, or as required by law.
Forms & hosting (Netlify)
Website contact, callback, and careers application forms on asshield.com are typically processed by our hosting provider through Netlify Forms when the site is hosted on Netlify. Submission data (the fields you type) is stored and delivered to Asshield under Netlify’s policies. If we ever use an alternate form service (for example Formspree), that provider’s privacy policy also applies to those submissions.
Online quote form
Our full online quote experience at www.asshield.com/online-quote is hosted on Asshield’s website and processed through Netlify Forms so we can store and follow up on your request. Information you submit is used by Asshield to quote and place coverage and to contact you as described at the time of submission. Form submissions are retained in our Netlify Forms inbox and may be exported for records and service.
Google Maps embeds
Some pages embed Google Maps to show our offices. Loading those embeds may allow Google to collect technical data (such as IP address and device information) according to Google’s privacy policy. Map “Directions” and “Open in Google Maps” links also go to Google.
Calls & SMS / texting
You can reach Asshield by calling or texting our published office numbers (Florida Gulf Coast and Kentucky). Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. If you text us, your mobile provider and messaging apps may process those messages. Reply STOP to opt out of marketing texts where that option is offered. Consent to receive calls or texts is not required to buy insurance.
Browser storage (localStorage)
We may save a small preference in your browser’s localStorage (for example, which “need” chip you selected — home, auto, business, or unsure) so we can pre-fill coverage interest on a later visit. This stays on your device; we do not use it to track you across other websites. You can clear it anytime by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Asshield Insurance app in ChatGPT and Codex
Asshield Insurance offers an app in ChatGPT and Codex that lets you start an insurance quote request in a conversation. This section explains what that app collects and how we use it. It applies together with the rest of this notice.
Information the app collects
Only what you choose to provide for a quote request:
- Quote basics: product (auto, home, auto + home, renters), state, ZIP code.
- Contact details: first and last name, phone number and/or email, preferred contact method.
- Driver details (auto): driver names, date of birth, relationship to you, state of license. We do not collect driver’s license numbers.
- Vehicle details (auto): year, make, model, optional VIN, ownership, use, annual mileage.
- Current insurance: carrier, premium and payment frequency, renewal date, main limits and deductibles.
- Consents: whether you authorized a quote and whether you agreed to text and/or email contact, with the time recorded.
- Notes: a short note you ask us to include with your request.
The app does not ask for Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment card or bank details, passwords, or health information. Please don’t share them in the conversation.
How we use it
To prepare and follow up on your insurance quote, compare options from the carriers we represent, contact you by your preferred method (and by text or email only if you agreed), keep records required for licensed insurance agencies, and measure how many requests come from the app. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising profiles.
Who receives it
- Asshield Insurance licensed agents and staff.
- Insurance carriers and managing general agents we work with, only as needed to quote or place coverage you ask about.
- Service providers who host and store the app’s data for us: Render (application hosting) and Supabase (database), and any CRM we use to manage quote follow-up.
- OpenAI operates ChatGPT and Codex. What you type in ChatGPT is handled under OpenAI’s own privacy policy.
- Authorities when required by law.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests that are started but never submitted: deleted after 90 days.
- Submitted quote requests and consent records: kept for 7 years to meet insurance record-keeping and consent-documentation requirements, then deleted.
Your choices
- You can stop at any time; nothing is sent to an agent until you confirm submission.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your quote request: email quote@asshield.com or call FL (850) 684-0164 / KY (859) 368-0162.
- Reply STOP to opt out of texts; use the unsubscribe link or reply to opt out of email.
- You can disconnect or remove the Asshield Insurance app in your ChatGPT settings.
