Driving for Uber (and similarly Lyft) creates periods where personal auto, the platform’s contingent coverage, and any rideshare endorsement interact differently. • Period 2 — matched / en route to pickup: Platform coverage typically increases; still confirm your own policy
• Period 3 — passenger on board (engaged): Platform commercial-style coverage usually applies during the trip; personal policies still matter for gaps
